Boise and Hannah's 1st birthday!

I got to Boise on Monday. We have had a lot of fun! When we got there the girls played outside, went to Heather's house and we visited a bit. On Tuesday, we went to Costco, did stuff t at my folk's house, picked up Ryan from his 1st day of school, and went to Hannah's 1st birthday party. Below are some pics of the fun we've been having!

Kenzie was driving Brooklyn around then Ryan decided to climb on top. He LOVES to get in any picture he can.

Grandpa and Brooklyn

If anyone made eye contact with Brooklyn when she carried a book around then they ended up reading it to her. She LOVES LOVES LOVES books! Luckily, Lou and Ben are great!

Kennedy and Aniston playing in their tutus. A neighbor of mine makes these and I just couldn't resist getting one for my neices.

The kids took over the table! L-R Kennedy, Aniston, Brooklyn and Kenzie. Something that was cute was there was a bowl of chips in the middle of the table. Well, Brooklyn looked around and thought no one was looking, crawled on top of the table, then slid back into her chair. Lou saw the whole thing. We got a good laugh at how she just took care of business and didn't disturb anyone to get what she wanted.

Brooklyn wanted to play with the bike and this is Kenzie giving it quickly back due to Brooklyn's response to her taking it away.

20 miles...check!

I just ran 20 miles!!! I can't believe I did it. 2 weeks ago I ran 18 miles and thought I was going to die. I'm really proud of myself (and exhausted) right now. It took me 3 hours and 35 minutes to run it and I didn't even walk! Woo hoo! This is my last big run before the marathon. The next couple of weeks it tapers. Next week my long run is 15 miles and the week after that it is only 11 miles then the marathon (Sept. 20)! I'm getting excited for it. :)

On a side note...we have been having a lot of fun in Boise all week. I'll post some pics of that soon.

It's a PARRRTTTYYYY!!!

Happy Birthday Brooklyn! For her party we had cake/ice cream, opened presents, and went swimming! What a fun day for all...at least I know we had fun. :) After swimming, the girls were anxious to play with their new stuff. They were shivering from being in the pool, but when we would lift them up to change their clothes...they flipped!
They both love their new doll stollers (yup, Kenzie got 1 too.) It is so cute to see them cart their dolls around.
SWIMMING!

Kenzie and Nathan...they are buddies.

Knee dive

Kenzie is such a goofball. She always has funny expressions on her face or is doing something with her tongue.

Cake and Ice cream... Charlotte and Lily...good friends of ours

Opening presents...She is soooo spoiled! My camera battery died and I wasn't able to catch the rest...I am so bummed about that. She got spoiled with LOTS of puzzles, a monkey pillow, a book, a tuto and bows, cards, a stuffed animal, a shirt, a doller stroller and a cabbage patch doll. She is 1 lucky girl! She LOVED opening the presents too. She knew exactly what to do. She still wanted to stop and play with everything as she got them, but didn't put up a fuss when another present came her way. Thank you everyone!!!

Kenzie didn't have any problems digging into her cake and ice cream...she's such a messy eater!

Brooklyn was kind of a grump for a little bit
After she blew out her candles she was scared of her cake. So, we asked her to show us the eyes, nose, etc. just so that she would get close enough to take a picture.

The party crew...Stufflebeams (Brittney, Nathan, Debbie, Laura and Cousin Andrea), Larsens (Bryan, Charlotte, Ume, Zach, and Lily), Rebecca Smith, and Ashalon and Kylie came later

Here are the cakes I made. The monkey is a german chocolate cake and the bottom one is a cherry chocolate cake...just like how Grandma Ewing made it.
