You'll never guess...

Brooklyn is walking! Last night we had her practice walking between us and she only took a couple of steps. Well, this morning she decided she wanted to go further. She is now walking 4-5 steps all by herself. She starts looking around and loses her balance. She thinks she is pretty big stuff. After each time she claps and gives big grins. So, at barely 10 months...we have a walker on our hands. I'm not sure if this will help or hinder. :0) Other news...no news yet on INL. Tom has also applied for Chevron which is based in SLC. He also has his applicaion in at St. Luke's Regional Medical Center in Boise. That job doesn't seem to be all he wants. I would love to get closer to any family. Our eyes are still looking for Alaska as well. Well, here are some pics of us swimming at our pool in our neighborhood. Brooklyn LOVED it even though she was shivering. The water is cold! Kenzie was all grins. Enjoy!

WATERMELON ANYONE?

BEFORE

AFTER

Mackenzie!!!

Ready to play!

Milk thief

So, yesterday morning I fed Brooklyn 9 oz. of milk and then she indicated she was done so I put her down to play with her toys. Kenzie was fussy and I had just pumped so I got a bottle of 5 oz. for her to see if she was still hungry. Well, no sooner than I started feeding Kenzie little Brooklyn started screaming and reaching for the bottle. She even tried to grab kenzie's leg. Well, while Brooklyn was standing, I gave her the bottle. She opened right up and downed it in less than 2 min. She NEVER drinks that much milk in 1 sitting. I think she is a milk thief. No worries, I made another bottle up and Kenzie didn't starve.

Cute babies doing cute things

Brooklyn got into Dad's wallet. Everything a girl would need...a credit card and her insurance info.

She didn't know quite what to think about this chair. She did think she was pretty cool in it and kept clapping.

News

Well, Brooklyn started climbing stairs yesterday. Tom stopped to see if she would climb the stairs...she did! She still needs a little bit of help, but she loved it. I'll post a pic of that when she wakes up.

Father's Day and Big Girl stuff

Brooklyn was helping me unpack from our trip to I.F. and she found the binkies. She had to try all of them and keep them with her. It was quite comical to watch her try and crawl with them. She got very frustrated. I ended up having to hold them and her and go in the other room to put them with her toys. She sure is a determined little girl.
This is such a goofy outfit...mainly the hat. Poor kid didn't even have a say in the matter.

Such a big girl! She is getting so daring.

She LOVES it in this seat. Thanks again Maaret! I put Brooklyn and Kenzie facing each other and they were just laughing and holding on a conversation of noises. VERY CUTE!!! They just love each other.

She is quite the messy eater. Mainly because she has to have a spoon in each hand and she wants to feed herself. She gets very frustrated when I try to put the spoon in her mouth. She always "helps" me put it into her mouth. Still a great eater, nonetheless.

Kenzie is all grins. She is such a happy baby.

Kenzie is a little thumb sucker. It goes into her mouth quite frequently. We've tried the binky, but she prefers her thumb.

Happy Father's Day Tom! You sure are a great DAD!!!

ATTENTION
ALIENS ARE COMING TO ABDUCT ALL THE GOOD LOOKING AND SEXY PEOPLE.

YOU WILL BE SAFE, I'M JUST NOTIFYING YOU TO SAY GOODBYE
**This email was sent to me from my lovely sister, Jenn. I laughed and had to share it. :)

Our girls are a growin'

Today we had our 9 and 2 month Dr. visits. Yup, we are about 2 weeks behind on them, but got them done nonetheless. Brooklyn is a whopping 19 lbs. and 26 1/2 inches tall. She is in the 50% for her weight and 10% for her height. Kenzie is 11 lbs. and 23 1/2 inches tall. She is 75% for both. What we find kind of comical is that Kenzie is only 3 inches shorter than Brooklyn. Both girls are healthy and doing well. Just thought you might want the update. :)

Look Who's Crawlin'

First thing is first...BROOKLYN IS OFFICIALLY CRAWLING!!! Last night, we had her on the floor and she just gave us her famous army crawl. Well, this morning I put her down the hallway and enticed her with a toy and lalalalallala she crawled! Now, that is all she does. She isn't quite used to her knees on the carpet so every now and then she will stick her bum in the air and do the bear crawl...or at least try to. We were so worried she was going to skip this stage because she gets up on furniture on her own and goes around it then reaches for the table in the middle and moves around it. We've even caught her standing on her own. The longest we have counted is 20 seconds. We don't think it will be long before she can walk. We are going to try and hold her off so that she can crawl a little longer. Mackenzie is a dream child. She is officially sleeping through the night. She has done it for about a week now. She rarely fusses, gives us huge smiles and giggles. I caught her turned around in her crib the other night so she is moving. She loves to kick off her blankets. She just moves her legs all the time. She's such a sweetie. This past weekend we went to St. George, Utah for Tom's cousins wedding. It was a lot of fun. We drove on Friday and stopped to visit the Cornelius's, did the wedding thing on Saturday, hung out with family, and went to Pine Valley on Sunday. We just love the mountains and this place is ideal. It had a stream, mountains, campgrounds, and minimal mosquitos. It was great hanging out with everyone. The natives (Brooklyn and Mackenzie) were good little troopers. On Monday, we drove to Idaho Falls for Tom to have an interview with INL. We just got back yesterday. We'll keep you posted if he got the job or not and if we accept it. It was a lot of fun hanging out with Brookey, Jeff, Hailee, Phil Mickelson Anderson, Mary and Jo. We're a traveling family! In 2 weeks we are going to Boise/the cabin for the 4th. Summertime is the best!
Brooklyn crawling

We brought the portacrib to Pine Valley with us. Brooklyn kept smashing her face and making noises. So cute!

She got herself up and wanted OUT!

Catching minnows in the stream

Brooklyn LOVES watermelon. She growled when we tried to take the rhine away...so...like always...she got her way and kept the entire time we were there.

This is funny...Brooklyn wanted a toy out of her toy box and she got stuck, or rather, high centered trying to get it. I thought it was so funny that I had to get a pic. Meanwhile, Brooklyn was screaming and growling because she was so frustrated and wanted to get out. You can't tell, but both feet are off the ground.
