Prego news

Hey everyone! I went to the OB today and he did some measurements and listened to the babies heartbeat. He said she is right on track for my due date of March 31 and her heartbeat was 155. SO, a good, strong, heartbeat. It put my mind at ease. On Monday, I had some really strong contractions all day so yesterday I layed it easy. The doctor said I shouldn't do as much as I've been doing and if I don't behave then he'll have to put me on bedrest. I don't want that so I guess I'll just have to find other ways of getting things done. Brooklyn sure was cute at the appointment as well. She had just woken up from a nap when the doctor came in. She gave him big smiles and she just wiggled a bunch when he spoke to her. When the doctor was measuring my stomach she was talking a bunch. After he was done he picked her up and she was just all grins. When I took her she fussed a little and she kept looking back at him. She's such a charmer and a flirt. Also, today I went to Taco Bell for lunch and while I was standing in line a lady come up to me and said, "Oh a newborn!" Then I told her she was 5 months old. The lady looked at my stomach then looked at the baby then looked at me again. She didn't say a word to me and got back in line and whispered to her husband. People are funny. Well, I just wanted to share my good news!

I NEED YOUR BIRTHDAY!

Ok, so don't get used to me posting so much...I go in spurts. This just so happens to be a large spurt! I need birthdays and anniversaries of all Hall's. EVERYONE. Plus, if anyone has Grandma Florence's birthday then that would be helpful as well. Just post it in the comments section. Thanks!

Prego pics

This is what I feel like doing all the time. The rest of the pics are just for show. :)

Ok, here are pics of me prego. I am 31 weeks. I go into the OB on Wed. then after that he wants to see me every 2 weeks until I'm 36 weeks. Then it will be every week. I think my pregnancy has been a dream as far as pregnancy goes. I get Braxton Hicks contractions frequently, no sleep (Brooklyn contributes to that :) and still some nausea, but no difficulties, bed rest, swollen ankles or stretch marks! I don't know how I could have done everything otherwise. The Lord knows our needs.

Playing cards with Mom

Well, folks we tried to post more pics but it has been like 2 hours and the Internet keeps disconnecting. So....I will try more later. Our big news is that Brooklyn turned over from her back to her front last Saturday. Now when we stick her on her back she loves to flip over. She has flipped back over a couple of times, but most of hte time just gets so frustrated that she can't flip over and gives up. It is very cute. She is also eating very well for us and can't get enough of the rice cereal. This weekend we are going to start giving her it 2 times a day. Her poor little body has been through a lot. She is now finally done with her meds, over her diarreah and her poor little bum is in pain. She still manages to smile a bunch and keeps us entertained. As of 2 weeks ago she weighed 15lb 7 oz. what an oinker. Tom has been working long hours at work and also just got called as assistant den master. I got released a little bit ago from being relief society teacher and wonder if I'll get another job because the ward has 700 plus members and growing. Plus, I guess I'll probably be busy the next couple of months. :) Our baby in me is growing lots. She loves to kick and has the hiccups quite frequently. She has discovered my rib cage this week which is a lot of fun! not really. I can't believe I'm 30 weeks. It's been funny to also see people in the store look at me and then try and figure out how old Brooklyn is. When we went to RC Willey last week our sales guy remembered us from buying our last crib and wondered why we were looking again. We told him we were expecting. He asked how old she was and how far along I was and he was just confused. I also get dirty looks in the grocery store and also people that don't want to ask when I'm due but I can tell they can swear I'm pregnant. It's quite comical. My biggest accomplishment this week was browning up 40 lbs. of hamburgar. It was 99 a lb. and we couldn't pass it up. So, we have more food storage. Well, there it is. Not much, but seems like we are very busy everyday!

One sick little girl

Well, since our last post, Brooklyn has been sick. Yup, she's had a couple weeks of not doing so well. She started off with a cold then it escalated into a fever of 102 then 105. She had diarreah, wasn't eating, and a runny nose. Just this weekend her fever FINALLY broke and we found out yesterday from the Dr. that she has a UTI. On Fri./Sat. she got a shot of antibiotics, a catheder, and had to draw blood. She has been through a lot. Now she is on a new antibiotic for 10 days and the Dr. wants her to go in for an ultrasound on her kidneys/urinary track system. She also has to have a VCUG ( that is where they stick a catheder with dye to see where her urine is going). She has been through a lot for just being under 5 months old. The one funny thing about this was when she had her blood drawn and it took 3 nurses to hold her down because she was so squirmy and they couldn't find a vein with all of her fat on her arms. She was a champ through it all and she is starting to act like our little Brooklyn again.

New Due Date...AGAIN!

Well, I went into the doc for my monthly checkup and he informed me that he is changing my due date back to March 31. He said the 1st ultrasound is the most accurate and they didn't have that one from my past doc so he said we are going to stick with March. So....looks like I'm 28 weeks on Saturday. The reality of it all is...the baby will come when SHE is ready. So, we are keeping are fingers crossed that it is later than sooner. Brooklyn is a handful, but sooo worth it.

Our Visit to Santa Claus at RC Willey before Christmas! Brooklyn may be as round as SANTA!

Merry Christmas! Our Christmas was a lot of fun. We went to Donnelly, Idaho at the Ewing cabin. All Ewing's were there including their spouses and kids. We had 20 people for 1 week all together in 1 cabin! We are surprised we didn't kill each other. :) We went to some hot springs, snowmobiling, sledding, 4 wheeling, cut down a tree, and built snow men. Tom was even given the task of building a kid table. It was a hit! Tom also made carmels and brittle. The Ewing's blame him for the extra 5 lbs. we each put on! We had about 2 feet of snow all week to play in. The McLean's even came for a night. Parker LOVED the hot springs and snowmobile. Poor Weebie wasn't feeling well so it was a little rough for her. Little Brooklyn was so much fun. She tried rice cereal for the 1st time and LOVED it! She begged for more. She aslo managed to find her way into mommy and daddy's bed for the week because she wouldn't sleep otherwise. Last night was our 1st night home and that was the end of that! Christmas vacation was a lot of fun and we were both sad to see it come to an end. Here are some pics of what we did. :)
