Happy Birthday Aunt Audrey!!!!

Happy Birthday Audrey! Just so you know, a lot of love went into these pictures. We think you are a great aunt, sister and sister-in-law! We hope your day is the best. We love you bunches! XOXOXOXOX Tom, Michelle, Brooklyn, and Kenzie

Happy 1st Brooklyn!

The first thing she did was very delicately take the licorice off and look at it. Then she played with the lettering. Tom, finally, took her hand and ripped into it. That did not make her very happy. Things are not done that way with Brooklyn...especially when she is tired. She does things HER way. :)

Her new toy from Mommy and Daddy

She was pretty good at tearing paper.

She LOVED the water and anyone holding her got very wet! Poor Grandpa Nathan got the brunt of it all.

Happy 1st birthday Brooklyn!!! For her party we went to the community pool in our neighborhood and invited the family and friends. We had a potluck, went swimming, and then tore into some cake. Brooklyn LOVED the food and water, but was tired when it came to eating the cake so she was ticked we were making her get messy. There were A LOT of people there. Thanks to all for making her day very special. Last but not least...Happy Birthday Audrey...as soon as the girlies are awake we'll post some pics for you too. :) We love you!

Cute as a bug

Lasagna anyone?

Today is the eve of Brooklyn's birthday. A year ago we were at the hospital waiting
for her birth hoping, but not knowing if she would be ours. The rest is history. We are so grateful to Brittney for her sacrifices and selflessness. We just love that girl and her family. For her 1st birthday I made my first shaped/decorated cake. Yes, I've made many cakes in my lifetime, but never one that resembled anything. I had a ton of help from my sister, Lou. Thanks Lou!!! Here is my ladybug cake for Brooklyn because she is Cute as a bug! The big cake is for Brooklyn and the cupcakes are for the guests. We'll let you know how the party goes!!! Happy 1st to Brooklyn!

Back in business...

Brooklyn playing the xylophone

Kenzie's 1st rice cereal experience and she LOVED it!

I found the cardreader!!! I was very motivated to find it because I took some pictures of the girls to wish Rod a happy birthday. It was in the drawer in the basement. We never go in the basement so I didn't look there! First off, HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROD!!! 39 right? We hope you have a great birthday and know that we are thinking of you. Next order of business...Tom's good news was that he got at job at INL in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He is starting Sept. 17 so we will be moving the week before that. We still have our house for sale and will rent until that is sold. We went to IF this past weekend and found some lots we think are potential to build on. That is exciting. All of us were sick so it made a rough, but productive weekend. Brooklyn turns 1 this week. We are going to have a pool party on Thursday at 6. I am going to make a ladybug birthday cake because Brooklyn is "cute as a bug". I'll post a pic of that NOW THAT I HAVE A CARDREADER!!! Brooklyn is getting so daring. She now walks across the room without any help. She is working on different surfaces and sometimes falls when she hits the rug. She has her hands in the air and is so focused. It is very cute. Here are some pics of our adventures. The 1st pic is of Brooklyn's first bandaid. Daddy was so good to help her fix her owie.

Happy Birthday Grandpa!!!

We love you Grandpa!!! Happy Birthday! XOXOXOXO Brooklyn and Kenzie

Congrats to TOM!!!

Ok, I feel like Tom needs to tell you the good news so....call him! He gets off work at 5 so please don't call him until then. If he hasn't contacted you or you haven't called him by tomorrow...I will post the good news. On a different note...still no cardreader. AHHHHHHH! I will find it. I am determined! You may ask yourselves..."Maybe she should clean her house every now and then." Good point, but that isn't my problem. We've had a couple of people look at our house and when the realtor calls we go into "throw everything on the counters into random drawers" mode. soooo. I will post pics as soon as I can find the darn thing. I'll just give you a quick update. Last weekend we went to 17 parade homes in a 24 hour period. Poor Brooklyn and Kenzie got diaper rash because they were held all day. :( We saw some amazing homes. The biggest one was 5.3 million bucks and 11K square feet. It was way too fancy smancy, but fun to go through. In the past week or so we moved the furniture around in the house and the TV is now in the basement. we find that we rarely go down there so we don't watch much tv anymore. We are getting so much more done and even communicating! Brooklyn is so fun! She now points to things she wants and we have talking contests where we see who can talk the most. She usually wins. She gives Kenzie kisses all the time, but is still stingy on giving her mommy and daddy kisses. oh well. She is getting more and more brave with her walking and when she is almost to her destination she goes really fast. She is big into snorting now too. I don't know what that's all about. She will be turning 1 next Thursday! we are going to party! Kenzie is still the happiest little baby. She still goes to bed around 9 or 10 then sleeps clear through till 8 or 9. Dream child. She is rolling from both sides and now scoots in her crib. we'll put her down in one direction and she'll be in a completely different spot when we get her in the morning. She loves the exersaucer, baby pod, and still prefers to be held. She loves to giggle and is so expressive with her face. She will be 5 months in a couple of weeks! Crazy!

Funny t-shirt

Ok, I admit, I haven't posted in awhile. I don't have much to say, but I have a million pics (like always) that I want to post, but can't seem to remember where I put the card reader. ahhhh. I hate that I don't remember things. I do remember a funny t-shirt that I read while the girlies and I were at Costco earlier today. It read..."Drink apple juice, O.J. will kill you." hahahaha
