Snow, snow, and more snow...

We have been getting dumped on lately. It seems like there is snow storm upon snow storm. Here are some pics of how beautiful it is after the storm and also some pics of the girls. Enjoy!

View from our deck. It was a beautiful morning after the storm.

This is how much snow we got yesterday. I don't think we've seen our grass since Thanksgiving.

Aunt Mary was singing a song and the kids LOVED it. They kept hitting the table for her to do it again.

One of her favorite stuffed animals.

Poor little Kenzie has a cold and is teething. It has been a rough couple of days for her.

Kenzie's STANDING for 10 SECONDS!!!

Brooklyn took some jammies out of her laundry and tried to put them on. She has been doing this with any and all clothes. You can probably tell that I probably don't have any of my laundry in baskets anymore. :)

AIRPLANE!!!

Our little standing girl...

Brooklyn pointed at the camera so I got the camera and pointed at her. She started posing and these are the pictures she did for me. goofy kid.

I was eating some pretzels when Brooklyn came over, grabbed a handful then went to her spot (under the table) and ate them. She likes this spot because it has a backrest and a shelf to put her treats. The other day Tom found some fruitsnacks and treats on the leg of the table.

Week AGAIN in pictures

Brooklyn and Kenzie like to play behind the couches. They just think they are sooo big when they do this. It is really cute because they squeal with laughter and if we say to Brooklyn, "Kenzie's gonna get you" she squeals louder and usually comes out.
Brooklyn knocking on Kenzie's door...she likes do to this when she wants to play with her. The only problem with this is that she's still sleeping. :)

Ready for church guys... pretty girl!

Brooklyn playing peek-a-boo with Kenzie. She just smiles so big when Brooklyn plays with her like this.

Brooklyn LOVES to climb into Kenzie's crib when she wakes up from her nap. They just play and play in there.

Brooklyn's meltdown...

This week has been good....busy, yet good. Tom has been putting in 12+ hours each day so the pictures above are when Tom helped Dan and Cass and had to leave for a few minutes. She has been have melt downs when Tom leaves. Good thing him working so much is only temporary. It just breaks my heart to see her do this. This weekend Tom slept a bunch and I went to Cassie's sister-in-laws baby shower. It was nice to get away and might I add...Cassie was a wonderful host and game coordinator.
Brooklynisms:
*She now blows kisses. She is very giving with these. :)
*She says shoes, down, no, mooo (her book with a cow on the cover is her mmmooooo book), baaa, ruff, ruff, meow, Ta (for Tom), momma, dadda, kaaazeeee, Cass, binky, bye, dog, a dun (all done), gago (gotta go), lesgo (let's go), b (bird)and some chinese that even the chinese couldn't interpret. :) I know we are forgetting some words, but she is talking!
*She leads the music in church
*She LOVES to dance. Even if a commercial on the TV has music she'll start moving her hips.
*She waves good bye
*She has melt downs and just sobs when her friends leave or if someone who played with her leaves. It is soooo sad.
Kenzieisms:
*She can stand on her own for 10 seconds or so!
*She STILL loves to eat paper. She will tear tags off of things and eats it. It doesn't help that Brooklyn will find her paper and feed her.
*She moves up and down and her hips when music is played. We have dance parties in Brooklyn's room almost everyday. We blast the primary children's songs and the girls just love it. Brooklyn points to her room when she wants to have a dance party.
*She is getting soooo quick with her crawling. She keeps up with Brooklyn most of the time.
*She has 2 stuffed animals that she loves. It is a duck and a blue teddy bear. We have given her a ton of stuffed animals but she has really taken to these. She also sucks on the corner of her blanket at naptime and bedtime.

Weekend in pictures...

After such a long and eventful weekend Brooklyn zonked out for 3 hours.
Ashley, Danny, Brooklyn, Cassie, Andrew, Tom and Kenzie in the lazy river.

lil cousin Andrew just chillin'

Swimming at the pool.

When Brooklyn is done eating she starts playing
with her food. This is 1 of her many creations.
soooo pretty

Too cute for Sunday...:) We even combed their hair to the side and stuck a bow on their still very bald heads.

When Brooklyn saw this horse outside of University Mall she started "neighing" and wanted to touch it. She is pointing at it. We just had to get a picture to remember this!

This weekend we went to dinner with the Wardles (Tom's old roommate), went shopping and got the girls clothes for next winter (they are on sale now!!!), went swimming, and played games with Dan, Ashlee (Tom's cousins) and Dan and Cass. Fun times for all.

Another week in pictures

So, this morning Brooklyn woke up at 6..I wasn't ready to wake up so I stuck her in bed with me. Then Kenzie woke up at 7 and I still wasn't ready to wake up so I stuck her in with Brooklyn and me. Well, as you can see, I got booted out of my own bed at around 7:30. I should have just waken up at 6. :)
Kenzie was sooooo tired. She kept cuddling the blanket, but still managed to give me a smile for the picture.

Brooklyn trying on some shoes.

Brooklyn and her finger puppets.

This is what happens when you come home at 8 and the girls ate at 5:30.

Stufflebeams! Good Luck Laura in Arizona!

Kenzie was crawling under the table and got stuck. She does this quite frequently. Brooklyn was right there to help her.

Does this outfit make me look fat? We got a new scale and both girls were drawn to it...uh oh...I hope this isn't a glimpse of the future. :)

Kenzie climbed into the toy basket all by herself and stood up. She acts so big!

So, some cute things the girls have been doing are:
*Kenzie will follow Brooklyn EVERYWHERE...Brooklyn will occassionally look back to make sure she is being followed.
*Kenzie waves now!

*Kenzie now goes around the house and takes out all the night lights. She is also taking the white knobby things off the door stoppers. Brooklyn collects them for me and gives them to me. I don't know if she tattling or being helpful...I'll just give her the benefit of the doubt and say she's helping. :)

*Brooklyn LOVES (because I still haven't taken it down) the Christmas village I have set up in the basement. So today I let her play with some of the trees and little people. She went into the corner and set them up and played for like 20 min. It was so cute.

*We were in the basement working out and I needed to change Brooklyn's bum so I ran upstairs to do that and accidentally left the door open....well, our little escapee was found and had climbed 4 stairs. I won't be making that mistake again. :)
*Brooklyn LITERALLY will wrestle with Kenzie. She climbs on top of her and they roll. Kenzie usually laughs. It is funny to watch.
*While I am showering the girls smash their faces against the glass, I spray some water from the inside and they think they are licking the water. It is hilarious!

*Brooklyn is known as little klepto at the chiropractic office. If patients leave their purses on the floor, Brooklyn will take something out of it. She has taken sunglasses and a comb. Kenzie is known as chubaca from star wars because she makes that sound with her mouth. The receptionist requests I bring my girls to all of my appointments. She LOVES playing with them.

*Kenzie crawls over EVERYTHING...she doesn't let anything or anyone in her way. She will climb over the bottom of our end table, the legs of the table, toys, weights, ANYTHING.
