Our lives have been busy....here is a quick update! Last week we got a quick trip from Grandma Hall. It was a lot of fun. My favorite comment was on the way to the airport to drop her off. It goes something like this..."Man, this is nice. I don't feel stressed at all right now because we are not running late. Phew, what a relief." hahahahaha Good luck in Pheonix! Tom has been busy at work, like always. He just got back from a training about how to be a good project leader. He also just picked up on a carpool. The guy is willing to use his car and pick Tom up from the house. We just pay him gas. What a relief! I have been busy getting food storage items together. I got some big water barrels, stocked up on food of all types, and got some 100 hour candles. Slowly I am getting to where I want to be. Last week I went to DI to check out what they had as far as winter clothes and toys for the girls. No clothes, but I got a steal on 2 toys. I know I got a great deal because I went to Kid to Kid later that week and saw the same toys for 18 and 21 dollars. I bought mine for 2 bucks. "The I" (DI) (that is what my nephew, Austin calls it) is the way to go. Brooklyn is a ham. I had a dental appt on Friday so I left the girls with a neighbor for that hour and when I got back the neighbor said, "Brooklyn is so funny. I was planning on doing some cleaning, but I found myself watching her the whole time. She kept me entertained." That's my girl! Her newest thing is she will turn in circles and get dizzy, fall down, then do it again. She is also getting very good at pointing at what she wants. Also, when we read books anytime there is a baby in the book she will give them kisses. She also LOVES the tub. She goes into the bathroom everyday and leans over the tub to try and get in. Once in the tub, she loves to play with her duckies (thanks lou!) and her letters. She is a busy body. She loves to dump things (laundry, drawers, diaper bag etc.) then give big smiles like she is helping me out. She now brings me the stuff and I just say thank you and she smiles. So cute. She loves animals and freaks out when she sees one. She just wants to pet them and love them. She got to go on a pony ride for a neighbors birthday and LOVED it. She also loves to sing. She will be roaming the house and she'll be singing. soooo cute. Kenzie is getting more and more animated. She loves to mimic. When I give big laughs, she laughs. We also talk to each other a lot. She is learning to sit up on her own. She can go about 10-20 sec. without help. She rolls everywhere and is starting to use her legs to scoot. Kenzie is still a great sleeper. She usually sleeps about 12-14 hours each night. She doesn't give me the best naps in the day, but she is a happy baby. She'll fall asleep anywhere. Last night, tom was feeding her and she fell asleep in her chair. She always falls asleep in my arms when I am walking around. When Kenzie is tired all I have to do is just lay her in her crib and she will usually fall asleep, unless she is hungry. Both girls love going outside. They just look and make noises. Kenzie loves her food. She lunges for it. She is my smiler. If anyone pays attention to her she just gives huge smiles. She is getting so big. She is into 6 and 9 month clothes. Brooklyn is still in 12 mo. The girls seem to interact well together. Brooklyn wants to feel Kenzie's nose, eyes and mouth. She also gives her huge kisses. Kenzie usually knows her sister is near because she kicks her legs and her eyes start shutting because she knows she is going to get poked. :) Well, long family update. I'll post more pics after church.

Surprise!!!
So, Sept. 18 we had a surprise party for Tom's 30th birthday. We had it early because we thought we were moving. So, I kept it a secret and so did everyone else up until we were walking to the park and a neighbor yelled across the street, "Happy Birthday Tom! We are heading over to your party here soon" THANKS NEIGHBOR!!! Oh well, you can't win them all. Tom was surprised by all who came. It was great to have so much support and love. Tom's real birthday is Oct. 4 so, no worries, you still have time to wish him happy birthday. :)

More news
I guess we should let everyone know that we are no longer moving. Tom feels like moving is a bit premature and wants to learn more from his current job. So, we are taking our home off the market, unpacking some boxes, and getting ready for the next phase in life. Tom wants to get some certifications and start a masters program. Go Tom!!! I am a bit relieved from all of the stress, but kind of bummed out that I won't get to be near my sister and closer to Boise. Good news is that Cassie and Dan and little Andrew are moving here soon and we still have Lou and Ben and Danny and Ashley amongst other good friends. The birthfamily is wonderful and we are excited to be near them for a little while longer. We love our ward and neighbors so staying put is a positive thing. We were looking forward to some change, but feel like we need to stay put for awhile. Who knows...there may be something in store for us here. :)

Kids DO the darnest things...
So, this morning both girls woke up at the same time. Kenzie was hungry so I started feeding her. I figured I could let Brooklyn roam because I decluttered the house the night before hoping to get a good head start on packing in the morning. Boy was I wrong. So, 15 minutes later, after feeding Kenzie, I went to find Brooklyn. I heard her babbling so it was a matter of just finding where it was coming from. As I progressed back to our bedroom I looked into each room. Brooklyn had managed to empty Kenzie's drawers, unfold the towels in the basket, empty the diaper bag, play in the toilet, then I found her under our bed trying to get the toy she'd discovered was under there. I can't fit under our bed so the next 10 min. I had to coax her with treats. Meanwhile, Kenzie had spit up and was fussy because she was still tired. So, the next 1/2 hour I spent cleaning up after Brooklyn. Ok, lesson learned...Brooklyn needs to be kept busy IN EYE SIGHT!!!
Another cute story: I was sitting holding Kenzie and Brooklyn noticed that she wasn't being held too. So, she came over with a block in each hand and wanted on my lap. I pulled her up and she was content. All of a sudden, Kenzie grabbed the rope from her binkie and put the binkie in her mouth! Brooklyn was shocked and ticked off. She started growling, dropped the blocks, looked up at me with the face of, "Did you see what sister did and you let it happen!" Brooklyn grabbed the binkie from Kenzie and immediately wanted off my lap. Kenzie didn't care. She just stuck her thumb in her mouth and she was content. Our girls sure do keep us on our toes, but also give us the biggest smiles.

I've been tagged!
My husband...What is his name? Tommy
How long have you been together? 5 wonderful years!
How long did you date? Dated March 26, engaged May 11, and married Aug. 17 of the same year. Phew!
How old is he? The BIG 30 in October
Who eats more? Hmmmm, depends on the food. Regular meals, Tom but desserts and sweets, probably me.
Who said I love you first? Tom, but I think I kinda hinted that I wanted him to say it then I quickly said it back.
Who is taller? Barely Tom...we are about 1 inch apart, but I still wear high heals. :)
Who sings better? I love to sing more if that counts.
Who is smarter? I think we are smart in our own ways and areas.
Whose temper is worse? Sorry Tom! But that is you. He doesn't yell, but patience is a struggle. Who does the laundry? That would be me.
Who does the dishes? Me again. Tom helps with the girls while I do it, so it's a nice trade off.
Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Tommy
Who pays the bills?Me.
Who mows the lawn? Tom and he does a darn good job at it.
Who cooks dinner? Me
Who drives when you are together? Tom drives while I entertain the monkeys in the backseat.
Who is more stubborn? We both can be stubborn.
Who is the first to admit when they are wrong? We're both pretty good at it.
Whose parents do you see the most? Mine, but we wish we could afford to go to Alaska more! That is one cool place.
Who kissed who first? Tom kissed me and the TV blew up! Now, that's some chemistry!
Who asked who out? We never really dated. We just did a lot together. However, I did invite him to dinner and he came over every day after that.
Who proposed? Tom at the Henry Doory Zoo in Omaha, NE. I was very surprised and that is hard for Tom to do!
Who is more sensitive? If sensitive means someone who cries, then that is me, but if sensitive is someone who is in tune with others then that is Tom.
Who has more friends? Tom!!!
Who has more siblings? Same, same. 5 girls, 1 boy!
Who wears the pants in the family? The girls!
Now I tag....
Cassie, Maaret, Megan, Jenny, Erin, Becky
