My Aunt Cammie...my Dad's younger sister. And don't get caught calling her just Cammie...because, she's "earned the title of aunt!" :)
This year for Thanksgiving we went to Boise. It was very memorable. We drove in Tuesday night, cooked and visited on Wednesday and had THE FEAST on Thursday. We first went to my Aunt Jeanie's house to see my Dad's side of the family. It was important to us to see them while we were in town. They are special people. After a brief visit there we went back to my folks house and had Thanksgiving dinner. I can honestly say that it was the best food I have had at Thanksgiving. Sorry. Clark is KNOWN for his turkeys so he was put in charge of the turkey this year. The turkey sat in a brine for 3 days then had LOTS of butter. The amount will remain undisclosed. We had red cabbage...a german dish, yams in an orange sauce, homemade cranberry sauce, cranberry bread, pretzel salad, Eva's special salad, a carrot dish, orange rolls, broccoli, mashed potatoes and gravy. mmmmm. and of course, homemade pumpkin pies with homemade whipped cream for the top. mmmmm. I'm salivating just thinking about it. After dinner we sat around and talked, watched football and Tom looked at the ads for the sales. On Friday, Tom and Scott woke up at 4am and went shopping. crazy boys. Well, let's just say that our Christmas shopping is complete. :) Later that day we went and visited Grandma and had dinner with her. It is always fun to hang out with her. On Saturday we were sooo tired from the week that we just watched Christmas movies all day with Mom. The rest of the crew went up to the cabin, but we were too tired to go. We got back on Sunday. Fun trip. Let the holidays begin! Some fun things coming up are Forgotten Carols (a Hall family tradition), carmels and candies, Tom's work party, decorating the house, the 1st annual Hall Christmas party (TBA), Hall newsletter, gingerbread houses, Festival of Trees, 12 days of Christmas, and just remembering what this season is all about. We love this time of year! Enjoy the pictures...there are a plethora of them plus more to come once I figure out how to download more pics from our other camera.
