4th of July Celebration

For the 4th this year we were invited to the "Third Annual Chase Circle of Fire". Our neighbor is a bit eccentric and goes all out every year for the 4th. Each year is bigger and better. What's funny is there is a huge fireworks display called the Stadium of Fire in Provo. Well, our neighbor lives on Chase Circle so hence the name Chase Circle of Fire. There was a big dutch oven cookoff in the afternoon/evening (Tom made fried chicken and cobbler), rocket launches for the kids, sparklers, popcycles and a fireworks display with music and everything! A very fun evening for all. It was fun too meet new neighbors, hang out, and just get out! It motivates me to pull off one of these neighborhood bashes for the future. So worth it! Any ideas for something for the fall?

Brooklyn LOVED the swing. She was in it for a good 15 minutes just swinging back and forth. She never fussed or wanted out. I think she got TOO relaxed because she fell out (after swinging for 15 min.) and didn't want back in.

This is Zach, Brooklyn's favorite little friend. He is 2 1/2 and they LOVE playing together. At the fireworks show he wanted Brooklyn to sit next to him. At first, he patted his knee like he wanted to sit on his lap then we all laughed and made a scene so he changed his mind to have her sit next to him.

The fire hydrant is a drinking fountain that our neighbors have in their backyard. The kids had A LOT of fun playing in it.
