The first thing she did was very delicately take the licorice off and look at it. Then she played with the lettering. Tom, finally, took her hand and ripped into it. That did not make her very happy. Things are not done that way with Brooklyn...especially when she is tired. She does things HER way. :)

She LOVED the water and anyone holding her got very wet! Poor Grandpa Nathan got the brunt of it all.
Happy 1st birthday Brooklyn!!! For her party we went to the community pool in our neighborhood and invited the family and friends. We had a potluck, went swimming, and then tore into some cake. Brooklyn LOVED the food and water, but was tired when it came to eating the cake so she was ticked we were making her get messy. There were A LOT of people there. Thanks to all for making her day very special. Last but not least...Happy Birthday Audrey...as soon as the girlies are awake we'll post some pics for you too. :) We love you!

Cute cute Michelle. The cake turned out really well! Ben and I wish we could have been there, but we're sure you saved us some cake and extremely red frosting:) haha my fingers were red for a few days...
